Praise God that we were not rained out today! It was a beautiful, sunny, and warm Florida day... An absolutely perfect day to celebrate all 3 of our miracles!
We came home from the nursery just in time to change clothes and prepare
for the days festivities. Hannah and Robert helped me set out food
while Wesley put towels/napkins on each bowl! Mr. Dawson came with the
sno biz machine and set it all up. Before we knew it, it was 2 o'clock
and time for the party to begin!

It was so much fun to watch our kiddos play and have such fun. They felt so very loved and important at the parties and we are so very glad that we were able to give this to them!

Little Robert eating a sno cone - he tried EVERY color that Mr. Dawson brought.... there is only 1lb of sugar per qt of flavor :-/ |

After playing for a bit, eating sno cones, and munching on chex mix and cheese puffs, it was cake time! We allowed each child to 'design' a cake and choose the flavor....
|
Robert's Dinosaur Cake (Vanilla cake) - The volcano is what he loved! |
|
Hannah's Cinderella Cake (1/2 vanilla and 1/2 chocolate) - She could have cared less about the princesses... the horses did her in! |
|
Wesley's Monster Truck Cake (Marble) - We used this one at the mini-party on Saturday | | | | | |

Just like on Saturday, we sang Happy Birthday to each individual child and allowed him/her to blow out the candles. It was a bit windy, so that posed a little challenge, but we overcame it and everyone had their moment to be the star.....
Once the cake was said and done, we allowed each kiddo to go and play some more. We opted to open gifts after everyone had left in an attempt to avoid chaos. While Daddy and I thought this was a great idea, it ended up being traumatic for the kiddos. Since this was truly their first 'big' party, they did not know what to expect..... Let me just say that they came out with more goodies, toys, games, etc than they do at Christmas! Because of this, Daddy and I made the decision to let them choose a few things to play with now and we put everything else away. This way, we have some good choice rewards and they have something motivating to work towards!
Once everybody left and it was just the 5 of us once again and the kiddos and inside/outside were clean, we decided to release the balloons towards the Heavens.....
Before we went in, I tried to get a picture with all three of my babies, but only one would cooperate.....
Then, we all came in and played the new Angry Birds game before bed....
It was such a great day... A day that will live in their memory for a long time, and as their mother, a day that I will always cherish....
Robert, Hannah, and Wesley felt so very, very loved and cherished. It was so much fun to see their faces light up as each person wished them happy birthday.
Special thanks to all of you that came out and celebrated with us....I think now that we know how this will go, next year we can allow them to invite THEIR friends and expand the number of guests instead of JUST Mommy/Daddy inviting a *small* group!!
